ITINERARY
Day 1: Introduction to Circular Economy & Welcome
The journey begins with arrival after lunch and a first workshop with Anna Masiello focused on circular economy. This session will help create a shared language, introduce key concepts, and connect theory to the real-life examples we will explore in the following days. The day ends with a plant-based welcome dinner, creating space to connect, get to know each other, and immediately dive into the themes of sustainable food.
Day 2: Fashion, Materials & Second Lives
This day is dedicated to sustainable fashion, materials, and reuse. We will start with a visit to Norm and a workshop with founder Catarina Barreiros, exploring how even menstrual products can be part of a more circular and conscious system. In the afternoon, we will visit Maria Granel and meet founder Eunice Maia to dive into education for sustainability and zero-waste models. Inside Maria Granel, we will also take part in a workshop with Skizo, a project that creates shoes and materials from plastic collected from the ocean, offering a hands-on look at how waste can be transformed into valuable resources. The day continues with a visit to a social second-hand shop, reflecting on reuse and the value of second-life products. The evening concludes with a vegan dinner.
Day 3: Food, Waste & Urban Agriculture
Saturday is fully dedicated to food and circular economy applied to urban systems. We will visit Hortas LX and meet the founder to learn about urban gardens, zero-waste schools, and integrated composting systems in educational environments. This visit will show how waste management, composting, and local food production can become powerful educational and community-building tools. We will then visit Nãm Urban Mushroom Farm, a circular project where coffee grounds are used as substrate to grow mushrooms. This will be a concrete example of circular economy applied to urban agriculture and food waste, with a dedicated visit to the project. The day ends with a vegan dinner.
Day 4: Closing, Connections & Goodbyes
The final day starts with breakfast together, followed by a free morning to explore the city, reflect on what we’ve experienced, or continue conversations started during the trip. This will be the moment to wrap up the journey, exchange contacts, ideas, and inspirations, and say goodbye while taking home new tools, perspectives, and connections.

Anna Masiello is a content creator and environmental activist focused on sustainability and the circular economy. She lived in Lisbon for six years, where she completed a Master’s degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. It was there that she began her journey toward a more sustainable and zero-waste lifestyle.
Since 2017, she has drastically reduced her waste production, choosing a simpler and more mindful way of living. This personal transition led to the creation of two key projects: R-Coat, a circular fashion brand that transforms broken umbrellas into clothing and accessories, and Trieste Senza Sprechi, an initiative designed to help people make more conscious and sustainable everyday choices.
Through her social media content (@hero_to_0), Anna makes sustainability practical and approachable, sharing a core belief: sustainability doesn’t require perfection, but participation.
